How did NOW® Solutions get its start?
Our overall company NOW® started in 1968 by founder Elwood Richard with simple supplements sold direct to stores after he had received complaints about how costly products were at the health store he was working at. Our mission is to provide value in products and services that empower people to lead healthier lives. Today, NOW® is the largest independent manufacturer in the natural products industry. We offer more than 1500 SKUs including Supplements, Foods, Essential Oils, Beauty & Health, Pet Health, and Sports Nutrition Products! What were the first products that you created?
We started selling pure ingredient products Cocoa Butter and Jojoba Oil first, as it was a natural expansion in the health food stores with what was currently selling at higher costs.
When did NOW® Solutions launch their skincare line?
The skincare category started around 1988 with more pure ingredient item additions, but it was not until 2009, that we started the label rebrand separating it out as NOW® Solutions. Each product in the line is formulated to be simple, affordable, and just as effective as costly designer products. We now have over 275 products in the Personal Care & Aromatherapy line. Our side mission is to help you “Look and feel your best every day, naturally!”
What inspired the Blemish Clear Moisturizer?
As an esthetician, I noticed we didn’t have a full encompassing skin care line when I came in. As a young adult, I struggled with acne and my sister to this day struggles with cystic acne. So, I wanted to help create a clean product line for that very purpose, without any “dirty” ingredients that would help people with that very same struggle.

The Blemish Clear Moisturizer was formulated for individuals who were looking for a clean-alternative product, to provide light-weight hydration while helping to improve the appearance of skin texture and tone, while reducing the appearance of minor blemishes, irritation, and redness.
