Our nonprofit

Heal. Empower. Rise.

The HER Health & Wellness Initiative

For twelve years, COCOTIQUE curated beauty for women of color. In 2026 we went further and founded a nonprofit, because self-care is the gateway to wellness, and wellness is where the real gap sits.

HER Health & Wellness Initiative is a 501(c)(3) working to create equitable access to mental, physical, and nutritional health resources for women who have long been underserved by the systems meant to care for them.

The three pillars

Where wellbeing becomes practice

  1. 01

    The Inner Sanctuary

Access to therapy and mental health support, and the work of making that access ordinary rather than exceptional.

  2. 02

    The Living Temple

Maternal care advocacy and physical health resources, built around the conditions and disparities that affect us most.

  3. 03

    The Nourished Root

Nourishment programs and nutritional education, because what you eat is health care that rarely gets called that.

Founded 2026

We are building this in the open

HER launched in 2026, carrying forward twelve years of COCOTIQUE's work with women of color. We are new as an organization and deliberate about what that means. We would rather show you what we are building than borrow credibility we have not earned yet.

Our first year is focused on three things:

  • Standing up the Health & Wellness Hub as a free resource library
  • Establishing our medical advisory board
  • Launching the first programs under each pillar of care

If that sounds like work worth supporting, we would like to hear from you.

Free to read

The Health & Wellness Hub

The Hub is the first thing HER is building, and it is free for anyone to read. No account, no purchase, no paywall.

It covers the things that are hard to find written for us: how hair loss presents differently in Black women, what to ask for at a doctor's appointment, how nutrition shows up in your hair before anywhere else. We publish it here on COCOTIQUE because this is where our community already is.

Leadership

The women guiding the work

Dana Hill-Robinson
President

Dana founded COCOTIQUE in 2013 and co-founded Glowissima Skincare. For over a decade she has championed beauty, self-care, and wellness for women of color, work that now anchors her role as President of HER.

Clarissa Wright
Vice President

Clarissa founded CNW Digital in 2018, an email and SMS agency built for female and minority-owned e-commerce brands, and has been a longtime agency partner of COCOTIQUE. She serves as Vice President of HER and CTO at COCOTIQUE.
