How did the brand get its start?
I started the brand in honor of my Mom who passed away from Melanoma skin cancer. It actually began as a Healing of Grief project during my Masters degree program at the University of Santa Monica.
As, an expert, can you please tell us the importance of sunscreen?
Up to 90% of visible skin aging is caused by sun damage which makes sunscreen your best ally for maintaining youthful-looking skin. Not to mention, one in five people will get skin cancer, so wearing sunscreen decreases your odds for this happening to you.
What does broad spectrum mean?
There are two main types of UV light that can harm your skin — UVA and UVB. When you see the words “SPF” and a number on a sunscreen bottle, it refers to the protection level the product has against UVB rays ONLY, whereas, a sunscreen that states “Broad Spectrum” on the label, means it has been tested to protect you from UVA rays (which can prematurely age your skin, cause wrinkling & age spots and cancer) AND UVB rays (which can burn your skin and cause cancer). When looking for a sunscreen, it’s crucial to find one that states “Broad Spectrum” on the label.
What are the key ingredients in the Impeccable Skin Face Sunscreen/Foundation?
The key ingredients in the
Tinted Impeccable Skin Sunscreen are Zinc Oxide (non-nano), Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Green Tea Extract, Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline (DPHP), Hyaluronic Acid, Melanin, and Kappaphycus Alvarezii (Red Algae) Extract & Caesalpinia Spinosa Fruit Extract.
What are the benefits of these ingredients?
Zinc Oxide – Protects skin against UVA and UVB sun damage and it helps to calm inflammation and rosacea.
Aloe Vera Leaf Juice – Contains antioxidants, enzymes, vitamins A + C. It helps skin maintain moisture, soothes burns and calms inflammation.
Green Tea Extract – Helps visibly reduce the signs of skin aging, calms skin irritation and evens out skin discoloration.
DPHP – This plant derived peptide helps visibly reduce the signs of aging and provides an overall smoothing effect to the skin.
Hyaluronic Acid – Helps hydrate and plump skin.
Melanin - Protects skin from damaging blue/violet light rays.

Do you still need your foundation when using the Impeccable Skin Tinted Sunscreen?
You can use this as your foundation or if you prefer more coverage, you can layer a foundation over it. Our Sunscreen was made to be a multi-tasking product that can triple as skincare, sunscreen and light foundation for a flawless looking, natural glow.
Can this sunscreen be used in conjunction with a foundation to achieve the desired color match?
You can mix a little of your foundation in with it to achieve your desired color, but keep in mind the SPF will be somewhat diluted from the SPF 30 label claim. We recommend you first apply the sunscreen and if it isn’t dark enough, apply a little bit of foundation over it to achieve the desired color so that the SPF is not diluted at all.
What shades to you have for melanin skin?
We offer Sand, Tan and Bronze shades of this product. The shades tend to blend into a variety of skin tones so even if a shade looks too light at first. Please note, it does tend to blend in after it’s been applied and had a minute to soak into the skin.
Is this sunscreen for all skin types?
Yes, it is for all skin types especially sensitive skin, because we use 15% non-nano zinc oxide as our active sunscreen ingredient which is very calming to the skin and we don’t use any chemical UV absorbers which tend to irritate sensitive skin and have been found to enter the bloodstream.
