How did the brand get its start?
Launched in 2017, Rael was founded by three female co-founders: Aness An, a journalist and bestselling author; Binna Won, an architect-turned-art-director; and Yanghee Paik, a former movie distributor at The Walt Disney Studios with a Harvard MBA.
Frustrated by the lack of healthy, comfortable and high-performing period care products on the market, the trio set out to create their own solution.
Where did the name Rael come from?
Rael is a play on the words real and natural, since the products are made of real, natural ingredients.
What was the inspiration behind the brand?
Rael’s inspiration was to empower women with healthy alternatives to conventional feminine care products that are full of toxic chemicals. We hope to educate and impact women around the world by creating products that don't sacrifice comfort or performance.

The law does not require companies to disclose which ingredients they use. Rael is transparent and discloses all the safe and effective ingredients we use in our products.

98% natural pulp and natural and botanical ingredients including Grapefruit Extract. Free of toxic chemicals while conventional wipes contain hazardous ingredients, unknown fragrance chemicals, parabens, etc.

Natural pulp is healthy for Mother Earth and Grapefruit Extract helps remove unpleasant odors.
